2010 Melbourne F1 Starting Grid – Australian Grand Prix
Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time of 1:23.919 on the way to claiming pole position for the Australian Grand Prix with local hope and fellow Red Bull driver Mark Webber to line up alongside him after posting a 1:24.035 lap time which was good enough to leave Fernando Alonso on the second row alongside reigning world champion Jenson Button.
The shock of the qualifying was Lewis Hamilton who found himself starting Sunday’s race in 11th place on the grid. Hasn’t been a good couple of days in Melbourne for Hamilton who had his Mercedes road car confiscated after doing a burnout leaving the track on Thursday.
