No surprise to see Lewis Hamilton 2.10 top the F1 Betting Odds after claiming pole for the 2012 Australian Grand Prix. The Briton edged out his countryman and fellow McLaren teammate Jenson Button 3.50 while the early race favourite Sebastian Vettel has blown out to 11.00 to win the season opener at the Melbourne Grand Prix after he coudn’t even out-qualify his teammate Mark Webber 17-00 who he has owned for the last two seasons.
Certainly an interesting race to kick off the new season. Tyres are expected to play a part and that bring Jenson Button right into calculations. Mark Webber saved a pair of tyres so if one of the Red Bulls are going to cause an upset i’d rather be betting on him. Grosjean and Schumacher have showed enough pace to suggest they will be there or thereabouts but it’s Jenson Button for mine as the man to beat at the Australian GP.
